Find out what drives Helping Hands

Like most success stories, Helping Hands had small beginnings. In 1972 at Betty Forward’s kitchen table on Hughes Rd, Orillia, Betty and her eight sons saw a need and began to provide lawn care, snow removal and transportation to seniors in the Orillia area. A few years later, they had a small staff based out of the home of the company’s first executive director, providing personal support services similar to today.

How can I confirm my visit time?

The best way to confirm your appointment time any time of the day, or to request another visit, is through Client Portal. Sign up today if you have not already.

Reminder Calls:
The day before your visit, you will receive a reminder call of the time your visit is. If you do not receive the call, please notify our office at 705-325-7861.
What are your office hours?

Helping Hands Orillia West St office is open Monday-Friday 8:30AM to 4:30 PM, excluding statutory holidays. However, we accept phone calls 24/7, 365 days a year. Please reach out at 705-325-7861.

Helping Hands maintains a unique service model by providing a wide range of home care and community support services for seniors and adults with physical disabilities. Our services are subsidized by government funding, allowing us to provide a wide range of support.
